Atlantic World Gallery Reimagined: A Refurbishment Celebration

On September 4th, 2024, we celebrated our intervention at the Atlantic World Gallery in the National Maritime Museum.

The event featured a moving performance by Othello de Souza Hartley, who collaborated with a ballet dancer, singer, rapper, and musicians to create a contemporary dance piece that celebrated history, family, and Black culture.

The gallery now includes permanent art commissions by Karen McLean, Elgin Cleckley, and Joseph Ijoyemi, as well as a newly designed reflective space by POor Collective. You can visit these interventions in person at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
